Overall, most find the product an improvement from the first iPhone and are generally favorable towards it. There are still some drawbacks, however.

Just a few of the new improved features include: improved sound quality with a metal grill over the earpiece and speaker, louder volume making it easier to hear and be heard, improved reception and a GPS application are just a few.

Some of the features that were less favorable included: no removable SD card, no removable battery and no video recording.

The phone was released last Friday July 11 in 21 countries.

Apple ran out of iPhones in 95 stores including all of the Apple shops in Alabama, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.

Apple and AT&T are demanding customers pick a two-year service plan at the time of purchase. They are hoping to prevent buyers from reselling the phone or unlocking them to work on unauthorized wireless networks.
